Challenges:
Owner Harvey Siegel and the Coit team saw opportunities to get more productivity and serve new customers, but they needed to solve key business issues to achieve their goals:
- Providing pre-set routes for each driver’s day and quickly route drivers to urgent calls.
- Validating how much time each employee spends at a jobsite and length of time spent between jobs.
- Verifying when cleaning equipment is used and how long it runs.
- Ensuring drivers are not using company resources to work side jobs on the clock.
Mobile Control's Impact:
Harvey and his team keep Mobile Control’s map up in high traffic areas of the business to keep visibility and productivity high:
- Mapping capabilities help dispatchers create the best possible routes for the entire day or urgent calls that arise.
- The Travel & Stops Report helps identify when drivers get to a jobsite, how long they are on-site, and when they leave.
- Sensors identify when the vehicle’s cleaning equipment is turned on and off, helping to understand equipment life.
Results:
- Improving productivity opened up work hours, allowing the company to increase revenue by adding 10% more clients each day.
- Unauthorized use of company equipment ceased, lengthening the life cycle of the equipment and reducing fuel and payroll costs.
- Coit Services ultimately saved money by turning over staff that had been abusing company policies.
