Ohio Concrete Sawing & Drilling Inc.
Number of Vehicles: 76
Overall Corporate Goal:
Ohio Concrete’s core mission consists of developing and maintaining long-term relationships with customers, satisfying its employees and a strong commitment to safety.
Challenges:
With a commitment to customers that drivers arrive on time every time, the company needed a way to validate it was meeting its mission. The company also had a high commitment to safety, but there wasn’t an easy way to track maintenance of the vehicles in the fleet. There was no way to validate driver behavior and verifying timecards was difficult.
Solution:
Ohio Concrete Sawing & Drilling implemented SageQuest’s fleet vehicle tracking to receive insight into their fleet’s activities:
- Reports give the company a complete travel and stops history for each vehicle so timecards can be easily checked against reports to confirm job hours and travel time.
- Reports also allow for easy comparison of actual miles traveled versus ‘driver-reported mileage through their fuel card purchase program.
- Real-time mapping allows dispatch to route the most appropriate technician to an urgent job
- Real-time alerts let the manager know about an out-of-policy behavior right when it happens
- Using Vehicle Maintenance tools, they are able to track services to make sure their fleet is on-track with maintenance and to prevent surprise repairs
Results:
- Managers feel confident they are not paying unnecessary overtime. Additionally, they can better understand job-site time per customer.
- Discrepancies between the Travel & Stops Report and their fuel card program allows managers to identify patterns where fuel may be purchased for vehicles other than those in their fleet.
- Accurate arrival times and quick responses have improved the company’s customer satisfaction.
- The company now has proof should a driving incident or accident occur as to what driving behavior was happening at the time.
- Employees that commit driver policy violations can be addressed quickly and definitively.
